The Que Crew fired up the grills at the Florida High School Barbecue Association State Competition in Bartow on Saturday, May 3, showcasing their culinary skills in a variety of categories. The team prepared ribs, brisket, chili, lollipop chicken, grilled cheese, and steak for the judges.
Their hard work paid off as they earned 1st place in ribs and 2nd place in brisket. Their strong performance throughout the season secured them the title of Reserve Champion overall.
“My favorite part of the competition was getting to prepare for the competition by hanging out with the crew members and having a good time,” said team member Ally Johnson. “Tasting the food afterwards is always great.”
