Hardee Junior High School student clubs and organizations have kicked off the holiday season with giving. During the month of October, the National Junior Honor Society sponsored its annual Socktober fundraiser. Students were encouraged to bring in socks to help the homeless and needy of Hardee County. They collected 113 pairs of socks which will be donated to the Hardee Help Center. Thanks to generous donations, some people can keep warmer during the upcoming colder months. In addition to this, the Student Council also held its annual canned food drive and collected over 170 cans. What a great contribution these students have made to our community.
