Micaela Ford's STEM class modeling their prosthetic legs.

Hardee Junior High STEM classes have been working over the last few weeks on a project about prosthetics. Students were tasked with researching, interviewing a community member who has overcome the challenges of a prosthetic leg, and then building a leg of their own using science and engineering. Group members used recycled materials and ingenuity to build legs that could be attached to the knee, worn by two group members, and walk five steps bearing the weight of the student. Mrs. Micaela Ford says, "Great job students, on a fantastic project!"
